1. WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

We are in South Scottsdale, approximately 5 miles from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. The address is: 6403 E Thomas Rd. Scottsdale, Arizona 85251. We are within close proximity to most of the major highways such as I-10, 202, 101 and 51.

2. CAN YOU PICK ME AND MY GROUP UP FROM THE AIRPORT?

We do offer delivery of our vans to the PHX airport for a fee. The van will be ready for you when you fly in and waiting in a parking garage. We will let you know before you land what floor and parking spot we leave the van so you can locate it easily. When you fly out, just park the van in an open spot in the garage and let us know where so we can coordinate pickup from the airport back to our facility. You are also welcome to pick up the van at our location for free or we can deliver to you at another location of your choosing such as a house or Air B&B, etc, for a fee. We would love to provide this service for free, but unfortunately we have to pay staff to pick up and drop off the van, as well as Uber/Lyft to and from the airport, as well as parking fee, which all add up very quickly.

3. WHAT PAYMENT TYPES DO YOU ACCEPT?

Scottsdale Van Rental accepts all major credit cards for the deposit and rental fees. We allow rentals using debit cards with an increased security deposit. You may pay cash for any rental fees, but the security deposit must be on a credit card or debit card in the renter’s name. Because prepaid cards are typically issued without a name on them, we cannot accept a prepaid card for the security deposit or payment of rental fees. We do not accept personal checks. 4. WILL YOU TAKE A SEAT OUT?

Certainly! Our vans are Chevy Express and Ford E-350 which don’t give a ton of room for luggage when all the seats are in as they are primarily “passenger” vans and made for transporting people. Both the 12 and 15 passenger vans have a row of 4 in the very back and additional rows of 3, which we can take seats out however many you need starting with the most rear seat of 4. Please let us know as much in advance as possible so we can make sure we have the staff available to have this done. The seats are fairly heavy and require more than 1 person to remove and not all of our staff is physically able to help out. Thank you

5. WHAT IS YOUR MILEAGE POLICY?

We offer 200 miles per each day of rental. For example, a seven day rental will include 1,400 miles free. Additional miles are charged at $.25 cents per mile or $25 per 100 miles. We do not offer unlimited mileage.

6. DO YOU ALLOW ONE WAY RENTALS?

Sorry, at this time we only are able to offer rentals to be picked up and dropped off here in Phoenix/Scottsdale.

7. DO YOU ALLOW TRIPS TO MEXICO?

Sorry, at this time, vehicles need to stay in the United States. Our insurance does not cover our vehicles in Mexico, so we cannot allow it. There is a much larger risk of vehicles being stolen in Mexico and we just cannot take the risk.

8. WHAT IS YOUR BREAKDOWN POLICY?

Please reach out to us as soon as possible in the event of a breakdown or vehicle issues. Since each situation is unique, we will best assess how to deal with the problem you are experiencing. We have an outside company that provides 24/7 roadside assistance if needed and will do our best to get you back on the road as soon as possible.

9. WHAT CONDITION ARE YOUR VANS IN?

Our fleet currently ranges from 2013-2020 model vehicles. Considering the size of a 12 or 15 passenger van, it is not uncommon for our vehicles to have minor cosmetic damage such as small dents or scratches. The mileage on our vans varies, but you can trust that every one of our vehicles are serviced and inspected frequently by our ASE-certified mechanics. Because we keep our vehicles for a few years, our mantra is to highly maintain them so our customers can travel in safety and comfort. All of our vans are rented fully cleaned, sanitized, and in excellent running condition. Our #1 priority is for you to have a safe and comfortable trip with no issues.

10. DO I NEED TO MEET YOU TO GET THE VEHICLE?

No! We are all about convenience and simplicity and offer contactless rentals. We don’t have to meet to do anything, HOWEVER, we do need to get the rental contract signed, which we can do electronically. Before your rental time, we will e-mail you confirmation as well as a request for a copy of your license and auto insurance and lastly, the rental contract. Please submit copies of your license for anyone who will be driving, as well as proof of auto insurance. The rental contract will need to be signed, which can be done electronically. There is a link in the e-mail we will be sending which will allow you to sign the contract on your phone or computer. If you have any trouble doing this, please let us know. We do need a signed contract before you hit the road, so please complete everything before your rental time so there are no delays.

11. CAN I DROP A VAN OFF AFTER YOU CLOSE?

Yes, we do contactless van rentals on both pickup and drop-off. We prefer vans to be dropped off and picked up at reasonable times, but understand that is not always in your control, so we do our best to accommodate. We have to do a final inspection before we close your rental out, so if you are dropping off a van at 11pm, we may not get to look at it until the next day.

12. DO I HAVE TO REFUEL THE VAN WITH GAS?

Yes and no. We give you the van with a full tank of gas. You are either responsible for filling it back up before you return it OR you can bring it back with any level of gas, but we will have to charge you for the gas you used plus a $20 fee. We would rather have you fill it up, but understand sometimes you’re in a hurry or forget and that’s okay. We’ll let you know how much it was to fill it back up and send you a picture of the receipt.

13. KEEPING VEHICLES CLEAN

We do our best to keep vehicles as clean as possible and give them to you clean at the start of trip. Sometimes unfortunately, we encounter guests that treat our vehicles very poorly, which has caused us to enforce some basic rules. We don’t expect the vans to come back perfectly clean by any means, but some respect is certainly appreciated. We don’t mind doing a bit of vacuuming and we expect the exterior to need washed, but PLEASE pick up after yourself and your party during your rental. We leave empty trash bags in our vans so that you can clean as you go or clean up at the end. Please do not leave trash, food, empty bottles and cans, wrappers, etc in the van when you are finished with it. If the vehicle is excessively dirty, you will be charged a $150 cleaning fee. We feel like it’s pretty self-explanatory/common knowledge, but lately we seem to have renters who abuse our vans. This is our livelihood and the vans are expensive to maintain and keep up not only mechanically, but also cosmetically. The nicer we can keep them, the less we have to pay to have them cleaned and replace things that get dirty or damaged, and ultimately the cheaper we can continue to rent them to you. We greatly appreciate your help.

14. DO YOUR VANS HAVE BLUETOOTH?

Unless noted, vans do not have Bluetooth. Some have Sirius/XM radio and all have a working AM/FM radio.

15. CAN I RENT A VAN FOR A SCOTTSDALE WINE TOUR OR SPECIAL EVENT?

Our 12 and 15-passenger vans offer traditional group transport, while the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter provides a more luxurious experience—ideal for upscale events, wine tours, or executive travel.

17. ARE YOUR VANS AVAILABLE FOR LONG-DISTANCE ROAD TRIPS ACROSS ARIZONA?

Absolutely. Our vans are commonly used for road trips throughout Phoenix, Sedona, Flagstaff, Tucson, and beyond. Just remember, each rental includes 200 free miles per day, and additional miles are charged at a low per-mile rate.

18. DO YOU OFFER SUV RENTALS FOR SMALLER GROUPS OR COUPLES?

Yes, while we specialize in vans, we also have a selection of SUVs available for smaller travel groups. They’re a great option for day trips or desert escapes near Scottsdale.

19. HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK MY VAN RENTAL IN SCOTTSDALE?

We recommend booking at least 1–2 weeks in advance, especially during peak travel seasons or event weekends in Scottsdale. For wine tours or Sedona day trips, early booking ensures vehicle availability and preparation.

20. ARE PETS ALLOWED IN THE RENTAL VANS?

We allow pets in our vehicles with prior approval. Please let us know before your pickup so we can ensure the van is ready and clean for your pet-friendly Scottsdale adventure.
